says: Yeah good also I figured out why games ran slow when I had win10. The Gfx driver wasn't compatible with win10 so windows used its own shitty driver for Gfx.

says: Doing the excersises is actually important,if you do them well enough i think you wont have to look in and out of the book for reference that much(you will still have to but not that much).

That book is the extended version of the original. My book I bought never did have windows GUI programming with "How to harm your system using hardware functions" chapter and only Linux programming. And apparently Linux programming is much easier than windows programming cuz gtk is easier than WinApi which apparently I still haven't learned yet. I use Dev-Cpp for IDE. It's not big like visual studio which is recommended by the book. Also half of the book is excersises which if you want to you can do but I didn't do it cuz imma pro. Also it took me 2 months to write a set of programs that interpret and edit the save files of some game. Also it had crappy code.

It's actually 5th old edition but it contains much more tutorials than the latest edition(difference:there's no GUI programming in it)
